West Ham United and Crystal Palace are among the teams keen on Championship leaders Leicester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho.

According to Team Talk, West Ham United and Crystal Palace are keen to bring Kelechi Iheanacho back to the Premier League in January. Both London teams are looking for a new forward ahead of the January window, with the Nigerian a big target after an impressive start to the season with Leicester City in the Championships.

Premier League clubs will put those players on their list of potential targets who have massive experience in the Premier League. Teams will enter the market in search of players who could improve their squad, and they will look at Leicester City after an impressive start to their season.

The Foxes are sitting top of the Championships table, winning 13 of their 15 games so far. With the club flush with some Premier League performers, their manager, Enzo Marceca, may not want to lose some of his current stars to bigger clubs.

One of those is Kelechi Iheanacho, who has massive experience in the Premier League with Manchester City and Leicester City, as teams line up to approach. The 27-year-old Championship striker has found the net six times this season, where he has made 17 appearances.

In addition, the 27-year-old has also provided 2 assists, which is similar to the numbers he posted while in the top division not so long ago. Teams like West Ham United and Crystal Palace are queuing up to sign the Nigerian in the January window, with his contract expiring in the summer.

Leicester City will have to force Iheanacho to stay in an attempt to boost their chances of making it back to the top division after only one season out. But, the pressure from Premier League sides could force the Foxes to consider a cut-price offer for the 27-year-old Championship striker.

West Ham are in the market for a new striker following a summer in which they failed to replace Gianluca Scamacca. They are finding themselves in an increasingly similar position where the pressure is all on Michail Antonio.

Similarly, Crystal Palace has not managed to bring in a new striker despite spending a large chunk of their summer window searching for one. They are also keen on Hugo Ekitike, alongside West Ham, to improve Roy Hodgson’s side in the attacking third.

Someone like Iheanacho would undoubtedly improve the squad, mainly because of the Nigerian’s immense knowledge of the Premier League. For Leicester’s part, they will hope the Nigerian stays here, and if he can manage to bring them up to the top flight again, they might even look to extend his contract.
