Real Madrid have pulled out from the race to acquire the services of the 27-year-old Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane.
According to a report by Defensa Central, Real Madrid will not push for the services of Leroy Sane. Los Blancos have been linked with the 27-year-old winger for quite a few years now, and they do have a realistic opportunity to sign him next summer. But, Carlo Ancelotti’s team have ruled out the move.
Sane came through the ranks at FC Schalke 04. His impressive rise caught the attention of Manchester City, who acquired his services in the summer of 2016. After four impressive seasons with City, the 27-year-old joined German giants Bayern Munich.
The former Manchester City winger has been doing wonders since making the move to Bayern Munich. He is amongst the fastest players in the world and he certainly uses that to his strength out wide on the flanks. In the ongoing season, Sane has featured in 16 games and he has contributed towards 14 goals.
The 27-year-old has had a great start to the new season and his performances have attracted a lot of attention. Real Madrid are one of the clubs that have been linked with the Bayern winger for a while now.
Los Blancos wanted to sign Sane a few years back, but they could not acquire his services. However, they have remained interested in the German international over the years. With his contract expiring in the summer of 2025 and a new deal yet to be signed, Real Madrid have a chance of acquiring his services next summer.
While there is still a lot of time before the summer transfer window of 2024 takes centre stage, Real Madrid have already started planning for it. They have been scouting players and have already made a few major decisions in terms of which players they won’t push for. Leroy Sane is a part of that list.
Los Blancos have decided that they won’t try to sign the 27-year-old in the summer irrespective of his contract situation. Meanwhile, the report suggests that the player is close to a new deal with the German club. And, even he is unlikely to move in the summer with his family and girlfriend well settled in that part of the world.

Even Liverpool are interested in the 27-year-old as the Merseyside club are preparing for life without Mohamed Salah. They feel Sane could be an ideal replacement. And, with his current deal expiring in the summer of 2025, they could get him on the cheap. But, the report suggests that the player is not keen on the move.
