Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane and are ready to break the bank to land him.

According to a report from SPORT, as relayed by Paisley Gates, Liverpool are ready to pay a substantial amount of money for 27-year-old German international Leroy Sane.

Sane has been a key player for Bayern Munich this season, scoring seven goals in 11 matches across all competitions. He could prove to be a sensational acquisition for the Premier League club, and it remains to be seen whether Liverpool can agree on a deal with the Bundesliga champions.

Liverpool might need to replace Mohamed Salah at the end of the season, and Sane has emerged as the priority target. The Egyptian international was linked with a move away from Liverpool during the summer transfer window as well.

Saudi Arabian clubs are believed to be keen on signing Salah from Liverpool. The 31-year-old will enter the final year of his contract at the end of the season, and the Reds could be open to selling him if he does not sign an extension with them. They will have to bring in a quality replacement and the former Manchester City winner certainly fits the profile.

He knows the Premier League well and he should be able to settle in quickly and make an immediate impact. The 27-year-old will add pace, flair, goals and assists to the Liverpool attack. He is also versatile enough to operate on either flank and he could be an asset for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp.

Bayern Munich paid €49 million to sign the player from Manchester City and they will look to make a healthy profit on him. Liverpool should have the resources to sign the player, especially if they decide to sell Salah at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, a report from Goal.com claims that Manchester City have a sell-on clause included in his contract. So, the Premier League champions will certainly receive a percentage of the fee if Liverpool decide to sign the player at the end of the season. And the report claims the Reds are ready to pay a record fee to land the German international.

Sane has proven himself in the Premier League in the past, and the opportunity to return to English football could be an exciting option for him. It remains to be seen whether Liverpool can convince the player and his club in the coming months.
