The Brazil youth international has taken his game to the next level of late. He has been doing wonders for both club and country. He has seven appearances for the Brazil Under-20 and has found the back of the net seven times in those games.

In the 2023 season, the Santos striker has scored a total of 21 goals in his 42 outings. He has been on the pitch for over 3,600 minutes and has been one of the mainstays of the team. His impressive performances have not gone unnoticed and there is a lot of interest in his services.

Newcastle United are one of the clubs keen on having him in their ranks. The Magpies have been scouting him for a while now and are looking to make a move in the near future. They have already established contacts with the player’s representatives.

While no official offer has been submitted yet for the 20-year-old, the Magpies are believed to be leading the race for his signatures. They have the financial backing to overcome the competitors and have a great project on their hands.

Newcastle have done some exceptional transfer business over the past few windows and are expected to go big in the next two transfer windows as they look to build a team strong enough to compete for all major titles. While they do have other issues to take care of, they are still expected to push for young players with huge potential and Leonardo is surely someone who could be a great addition to their ranks.
