Liverpool and Manchester United are ready to battle it out with Chelsea for the services of Inter Milan wing-back Denzel Dumfries.

According to a report by Calciomercato, Chelsea are keen on having Denzel Dumfries in their ranks. The 27-year-old wing-back has revived himself in the ongoing season, and the interest in his services seems to be at an all-time high. While the Blues are interested, they are all set to face competition from Liverpool and Manchester United.

Dumfries made a name for himself while playing for PSV Eindhoven. His impressive performances resulted in a move to Inter Milan in the summer of 2021. The Serie A giants signed him to replace Achraf Hakimi, and he seems to have done a decent job over the years.

After an impressive first season at the Italian club, there was a lot of interest in the services of the 27-year-old. But, the interest dropped because Dumfries was not at his best during the 2022/23 season. However, he has revived himself in some fashion. In his 12 outings this season, the Dutch international has contributed towards six goals.

The Dutchman has been a constant threat to the opposition on the right flank and has done a decent job on the defensive side of things. His impressive performances have revived the interest of Premier League clubs in the 27-year-old.

Chelsea are one of the clubs keen on having Dumfries in their ranks. They have been monitoring him for a while now and would love to acquire his services in the near future. While the Blues do have Reece James in their ranks, the Chelsea skipper has been subject to quite a few injuries of late. And a capable cover like Dumfries could do wonders for them. That said, they also have Malo Gusto.

But, the Blues are not alone in the race for the services of the 27-year-old. Even Manchester United are interested in the Inter wing-back. The Red Devils have two quality right-sided full-backs. But Erik ten Hag is not really happy with their output, and he would love to have Dumfries at his disposal.

The Inter Milan full-back will strengthen the right flank and will also give Manchester United the flexibility of starting with wing-backs on either flank. Even Liverpool have been closely following the Dutch international with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s contract expiring in 2025. But, the Reds will only make a move if Alexander-Arnold does not end up renewing his deal with the club which at this point in time looks unlikely.
