Romelu Lukaku is currently on loan at AS Roma, who want to complete a permanent deal by offering Tammy Abraham to Chelsea.

AS Roma are looking to sign Romelu Lukaku permanently at the end of the season, and they could offer Tammy Abraham in exchange for the Belgian international, as per Italian outlet Calciomercatoweb.

Lukaku has scored eight goals in 11 appearances for AS Roma, and he seems to have recaptured his form and sharpness. Meanwhile, Tammy Abraham has been a useful signing for AS Roma since joining the club from Chelsea.

He managed to score 27 goals in his debut season with the Serie A club and found the back of the net 9 times last season. There is no doubt that he could prove to be a quality acquisition for Chelsea if the Blues are prepared to accept the swap deal.

Romelu Lukaku is reportedly valued at £37 million, and getting Abraham in exchange for him might not be a bad deal for the Premier League club. Abraham knows the club will and he will be able to settle in quickly and make an immediate impact at Chelsea.

The 26-year-old could be attracted to the idea of returning to the Premier League, especially to his boyhood club. He might feel that he has unfinished business at Stamford Bridge, and he will look to prove his worth.

Abraham has previously proven himself in English football with clubs like Bristol City, Swansea City, and Aston Villa. There is no doubt that he is good enough to start in the Premier League regularly and Chelsea could benefit from signing someone like him.

The Blues failed to score goals regularly last season, and signing of Nicolas Jackson has not helped this season. The former Villarreal striker has found the back of the net just three times in all competitions, and Chelsea need to add more goals to their attack.

Abraham will fancy his chances of holding down a regular starting spot under Mauricio Pochettino if he returns to the club. The 26-year-old has the physical and technical attributes to thrive at Stamford Bridge, and a swap deal could benefit all parties.

Lukaku clearly does not have a future at Chelsea, and he is unwanted at the club. It would make sense for the Blues to get rid of him permanently and sign a player who will be useful for them. Meanwhile, Lukaku is enjoying his football in Italy once again, and a permanent exit would allow him to move on and focus on his football.
