Tottenham are ready to explore a move for Jadon Sancho amid the winger’s continuing problems with Manchester United.

According to Fichajes, Tottenham are considering an approach to sign beleaguered Manchester United star Jadon Sancho. The 23-year-old continues to remain in exile from Erik ten Hag’s first team, and a January move seems more than likely for the winger.

The Jadon Sancho chapter with Manchester United could conclude with the winger leaving the club, either on a temporary basis or permanently. Neither the 23-year-old nor Erik ten Hag are willing to compromise on their stance as he continues his exile from first-team activities.

Sancho has not played for the club since the end of August, and the time may have passed to patch things up. Hence, a departure looks imminent, with many clubs keen on taking the forward in January. Juventus are reportedly considering a loan move, while a return to Borussia Dortmund appears unlikely owing to the finances involved in any deal.

Saudi Arabian clubs are also sniffing around like they did at the end of the summer transfer window. However, Tottenham are also in the mix if they find an opening to convince the player and Manchester United over a move.

Ange Postecoglou has steered Tottenham to the best-ever start to a season of any team in Premier League history. While there are some lingering doubts about Spurs sustaining a title challenge, they will make sure they do and even strengthen their squad in the January window.

Postecoglou continues to look for a wide attacker following the injuries to Ivan Perisic and Manor Solomon. They held an interest in Sancho during the summer but could not make an inwards in their pursuit. The January window has opened the door to negotiations with Manchester United.

While Manchester United are open to Sancho’s departure, would they consider selling to a direct rival? The feeling is that they will not consider sanctioning a loan move to a direct rival, although their stance over a permanent departure remains unclear.

Tottenham may have a place for Sancho, who wants to keep playing regularly to stand a chance to feature back in the England setup. The whole fiasco has cost the 23-year-old Manchester United forward a place in Gareth Southgate’s side. But he has not lost all hopes yet.

Tottenham are looking at other options as well. But if the opportunity to sign Sancho emerges, they might go for the 23-year-old Manchester United forward. For now, things are unclear about the money the Red Devils might demand, as they might not want to take too much of a hit compared to what they invested while signing the winger.
