Liverpool are interested in acquiring the services of 20-year-old Bayern Munich sensation Jamal Musiala but there are financial roadblocks.
According to Ben Jacobs via GIVEMESPORT, Liverpool are keen on having Jamal Musiala in their ranks. The Merseyside club are keeping a close eye on the 20-year-old’s situation at Bayern Munich and they would surely push for his services if there is a possible opportunity.
However, Jacobs feels Jurgen Klopp’s team might struggle with the finances that will be needed to land the German international at the club. Given the amount of interest in him and the kind of potential the 20-year-old has, the Merseyside club will have to break the bank to land him at the club. But, that might be beyond their capability having already spent millions in the summer.
Liverpool struggled during the 2022-23 season and they decided to make major changes to their midfield to ensure they could return to their best. The Merseyside club parted ways with Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita.
And, they managed to acquire the services of Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo. They have been doing well in the ongoing season and do seem to have enough options in the centre of the park.
But, according to the report, Klopp is keen on having another midfielder in his ranks. The German manager surely won’t mind if they manage to land Musiala at the club. The 20-year-old still has more than two years left on his deal at the German club but reports have linked with a move away from the club.
And, there is a lot of interest in him from England. While Liverpool might struggle to afford him from a financial point of view, there is interest from his former club Chelsea where spent almost eight years before moving to Germany.
The Blues have the financial capabilities and they do need to add players who can help them score more goals. Musiala could be an ideal fit but signing him won’t be easy as Bayern will try their best to keep him at the club and extend his current deal.
