West Ham United have entered the race for the signatures of 17-year-old Palmeiras attacking midfielder Luis Guilherme.

According to a report by Premier League Brasil, West Ham United are keen on having Luis Guilherme in their ranks. The 17-year-old sensation has been doing wonders of late and there is a lot of interest in his services from across Europe.

Manchester United are keen on the player as well and it remains to be seen whether the Hammers can fend off the competition from their Premier League rivals and sign the player.

Guilherme has come through the ranks at Palmeiras. He made it to their first team at the start of the year. The teenager has since featured in a total of 23 games. While he might have been used as a substitute on most occasions and has only been on the pitch for just over 500 minutes, the 17-year-old has managed to attract attention with his impressive cameos.

His contract with the Brazilian club runs until the end of 2025. But, there is a real possibility of him parting ways with Palmeiras in the near future. There is interest from all across Europe and some of the biggest clubs are keen on having him in their ranks.

West Ham United are one of the clubs interested in the teenage sensation. The Hammers have been scouting him for a while now and they feel he could be a great addition to their ranks for the short as well as long term.

The London club have already established contacts with the player representatives as they look to land him at the club. The player’s staff have met quite a few clubs over the last week. But, according to the report, West Ham are the front-runners for his signatures alongside Chelsea.

The Blues are also keen on having him in their ranks. Their new project revolves around young talents and they have invested heavily in signing some of the best youngsters. As a result, it won’t be a surprise if they break the bank for the teenager who is considered to be one of the best talents in South America.

Chelsea will surely face a lot of competition from West Ham. The Hammers are focused on bolstering their midfield, they are looking for someone who is a bit more attacking in nature and has creativity. And, the Palmeiras sensation fits the bill.

According to the report, the Irons need to put forward a proposal to the Brazilian club’s management before the start of the Under-17 World Cup which begins in less than a month’s time. At this point in time, they seem all set to push for his services.
