Arsenal and Manchester City are keen to sign Noel Buck from MLS side New England Revolution, with plenty of factors pointing towards a move to England.
According to Tom Bogert of The Athletic, Arsenal and Manchester City are among the teams keen on 18-year-old MLS midfield prodigy Noel Buck. The New England Revolution star could angle for a move to England after being called up to the Under-19 team and would prefer to stay close to the Premier League.
The MLS have stepped up their pursuit of producing excellent talents, which could entice European clubs. As things stand, English clubs have more money than their American counterparts. And for the time being, they will have to continue to produce talents and turn them into profits.
While the US has been producing good players, the European or English clubs have yet to pay over the odds for those professionals. For instance, Arsenal signed Matt Turner and Auston Trusty to make decent profits from those investments.
Sticking with Turner, who played one entire season with the Gunners before signing for Nottingham Forest this past summer. Arsenal had signed the USMNT star from MLS side New England Revolution. And now they are angling for a move for another one of their rising stars.

Arsenal are looking for young players to shore up their squad and think about the future. Now, they are keen on 18-year-old MLS midfield prodigy Noel Buck from New England Revolution, and some factors could make the move possible.
The Athletic’s Tom Bogert confirmed their interest, as well as Manchester City, among other clubs. He said, “Noel Buck is the first name that comes to mind. The clubs that I have heard have been interested and he has had a lot of scouts coming to watch him are Arsenal, Burnley and Manchester City. He’s got an English passport as he is an England youth international currently on international duty with the country.”
Manchester City’s interest won’t come as a surprise, considering they have actively kept a watchful eye on many young stars. They recently signed Harrison Parker from Manchester United and may keep watching Buck as the 18-year-old MLS midfield prodigy has plenty of value.
Buck was recently called to the England Under-19 camp and has reportedly chosen to represent England as his international team. He also had the option of the USMNT setup as he was born in the US. However, as he could represent England, the 18-year-old MLS midfield prodigy could be deemed a domestic player rather than a foreigner.
Homegrown status has plenty of value, and many English clubs are keen. Bogert explained that Buck may have ideas to join a top team like Arsenal or Manchester City and then go out on loan to a Championship side. Alternatively, he could bide his time with a lower team like Burnley and then set out to another big club in the future.
