Manchester United are reportedly prepared to subsidise rebel the wages of Jadon Sancho to offload him on loan in the upcoming January transfer window.

According to Daily Mail, Manchester United are determined to offload Jadon Sancho in January and are willing to pay part of his £300,000-a-week wages to get him out on loan in the winter transfer market.

Sancho’s Old Trafford career looks over as Erik ten Hag continues to freeze the 23-year-old out of his plans as a disciplinary measure. The former Borussia Dortmund star has not played for the Red Devils since the 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest at the end of August due to his disputing comments in the aftermath of the 3-1 defeat at Arsenal on September 3.

The former Borussia Dortmund star responded by challenging his manager’s comments, claiming he was absent due to training levels, labelling them “completely untrue” and insisting he had been made a “scapegoat” by the Dutchman.

Ten Hag has demanded a public apology and one in front of his teammates. But his refusal to do so has escalated the row, prompting the Manchester United manager to banish him from his first-team squad. Sancho has trained at the academy centre at Carrington since, leaving dark clouds of uncertainty looming over his future at the club.

It appears ten Hag has made it clear that there is no way back for the player now at Old Trafford. The Dutchman is pushing for the forward to be out as soon as the January transfer window, believing his influence and poor attitude are a disrupting influence on the rest of the dressing room.

Borussia Dortmund are thought to be interested in re-signing Sancho, while Juventus are also lining up an approach to help him escape Old Trafford in the winter transfer window. Manchester United value him at £60 million. But it is believed that neither club will be ready to meet that valuation in January, making a short-term loan stint the most likely option.

Even then, the 23-year-old’s eye-watering £300,000-a-week salary could prove to be a stumbling block for a potential suitor. As such, Manchester United are willing to subsidise Sancho’s salary to help out if he accepts a loan move away when the transfer window reopens in the new year. They hope his performances elsewhere could help recover his falling stock in the transfer market.
