Arsenal are interested in acquiring the services of 24-year-old Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and they are ready to offer Gabriel Jesus in exchange.

According to a report by Fichajes, Arsenal are keen on having Victor Osimhen in their ranks. The Gunners are looking to further bolster their attack in the near future and they have their eyes set on Napoli’s ace striker. The London club are ready to offer Gabriel Jesus in return to lower the asking price of the Nigerian forward.

Arsenal have gone from strength to strength since the arrival of Mikel Arteta at the club. The Spanish manager has turned them into a winning team once again and they are in the race for major titles this season. But, Arteta still feels that they need another big signing to close the gap at the top.

The Spanish manager has two quality strikers in his ranks but he wants to sign a world-class number nine in the near future. He wants to add a striker who can guarantee goals. As a result, Arteta is desperate to have Victor Osimhen at his disposal.

The 24-year-old has gone from strength to strength since joining Napoli back in the summer of 2020. He has taken his game to the next level over the past few seasons. Last season, he scored 31 goals in all competitions and also guided the Italian club to their first-ever league title in three decades.

In the ongoing season, he has already found the back of the net six times in his 10 outings. Given his form over the past 24 months, a lot of teams are interested in acquiring his services and Arsenal are one of them.

The Gunners feel he could be the final missing piece of their jigsaw. The 24-year-old could take them to the next level and help them to return to their old glory days. But, they are well aware of the fact that signing him from Napoli would cost them a fortune.

As a result, the London club are considering offering Gabriel Jesus in exchange to lower the asking price. The 26-year-old has done a decent job since arriving at the club last summer. But, they are ready to sacrifice him in order to sign the Nigerian international.

A deal where Jesus joins Napoli and Osimhen joins Arsenal seems to be a win-win situation for both parties involved. The Italian club will get a capable replacement in Jesus along with a significant sum while the Gunners will get a top striker who can help them win big.
