Super agent Jorge Mendes wants Pedro Neto to part ways with Wolves and join a bigger club amidst interest from Liverpool and Arsenal.
According to a report by TEAMtalk, Pedro Neto is expected to part ways with Wolves in 2024. The 23-year-old is in red-hot form, and he is on the radar of Arsenal and Liverpool. Meanwhile, his agent Jorge Mendes is confident that he can secure a big move for the Portuguese international next year. Wolves value the youngster at around £50 million.
Pedro Neto joined Wolves back in the summer of 2019 from Lazio. He has gone from strength to strength since joining the club. But, over the last few seasons, he has struggled with injuries. Last season, in particular, he missed quite a few games because of fitness issues.
But, the 23-year-old has bounced back in some fashion. Injuries are now a story of the past and the Portuguese international has been doing wonders for them in the ongoing season. He has featured in seven Premier League games and has contributed towards five goals.
His exceptional form has not gone unnoticed. There is a lot of interest in his services from across Europe. According to Graeme Bailey, Wolves are ready to cash in on the 23-year-old. They are expecting Neto to be on the move in the winter transfer window. But, that will only happen if their valuation is met given that he is under contract until the summer of 2027.
Graeme Bailey said, “I am told by sources close to Wolves that they are expecting Neto to leave in January, but their valuation would need to be met. He is under contract to 2027, but he is showing the sort of form that could persuade someone to make a move in January.”
“I understand that Jorge Mendes and his staff are confident that Neto will move in 2024 and most likely in January, but it will depend on the needs of those interested parties.”
Meanwhile, Neto’s agent Jorge Mendes and his staff are pretty confident that they can secure him a move to a big club in 2024. They will look to push for a move in the winter but it will depend on the clubs that are interested in the services. Of late, Liverpool and Arsenal have been linked with the 23-year-old.
Mikel Arteta wants to sign a new winger. He wants more firepower in attack in order to challenge for major titles. The Arsenal manager believes Neto could help their cause and he will get better with age.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are preparing for life without Mohamed Salah. The Egypt international has been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League and given the kind of offers the Merseyside club received back in the summer, there is a real possibility of him leaving in the near future. As a result, they could push for Neto as a potential replacement.
Both Arsenal and Liverpool have been scouting him in the ongoing season. And, they feel he could be a great addition to their ranks. But, according to reports, they will have to fork out £50 million to get Wolves to sell Neto.
