Manchester United are leading the race for the signatures of 17-year-old Brazilian sensation Lorran who is on the radar of Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

According to a report by 90min, Manchester United are keen on having Lorran in their ranks. The 17-year-old sensation is on the radar of some of the biggest clubs in world football. But, the Red Devils are the front-runners for his signatures at this point in time.

Lorran has come through the ranks at Brazilian club Flamengo and is currently a part of their Under-20 setup. The teenage sensation has already featured in four matches for the senior team and is the youngest goal scorer in their history having found the back of the net earlier in January in a 1-1 draw against Bangu.

The 17-year-old has made quite a name for himself over the past few years. His progress has attracted a lot of attention and there are quite a few big clubs keen on having him in their ranks.

According to the report, Manchester United are leading the race for the Brazil youth international. The Red Devils who haven’t had the best of starts in the 2023-24 season have started making moves to sign the 17-year-old. They are already in talks with Flamengo over a potential deal for Lorran.

While the teenager can’t join the Red Devils until next summer, the Manchester-based club are looking to strike a deal early in order to avoid competition from some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Manchester United have spent a lot of money on talented players but those transfers haven’t really worked well. However, they are still willing to invest in the attacking midfielder who is considered to be one of the finest talents in Brazil.

While the Red Devils have started making moves, they are not the only club interested. Real Madrid’s chief scout Juni Calafat is keeping a close eye on the 17-year-old and could ask Los Blancos to push for his services.

Barcelona are also interested in Lorran. They are always on the lookout for young players with huge potential and the teenager seems to be a perfect fit. Even Chelsea are keeping tabs on his situation. The Blues have focused on signing young talented players over the past few windows and Lorran seems to be a perfect fit for their project.

The 17-year-old’s contract with Flamengo runs until December 2025 but he is expected to be on the move next summer after he turns 18. There is a release clause worth €50 million in his contract and one of the big clubs could trigger his release.
