Chelsea are ready to put forward a part-exchange deal in order to sign the 27-year-old Brentford striker Ivan Toney.

According to a report by Fichajes, Chelsea are keen on having Ivan Toney in their ranks. The Blues have been struggling to score goals, and they are looking for a new number who can help their cause. They have their eyes set on the Brentford striker and are looking to offer Armando Broja as a part of the deal in order to lower the Bees’ asking price of £75 million.

Chelsea did not have the best of seasons last time out, they struggled throughout and one of their major concerns was their form in front of goal. Things were expected to change after the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino and the big bucks that were spent on forwards in the summer.

But, the story is still the same, as the Blues have struggled in front of the goal. They have only found the back of the net five times in their six Premier League outings. While Chelsea’s overall play has improved, they have not been able to convert their chances. As a result, they have only won one match in the league so far.

Pochettino is now keen on adding a new striker to the mix. He wants to sign someone who has proven himself in the Premier League and they have their eyes on Toney. The 27-year-old was on fire last season, he scored 20 goals in his 33 outings in the English top flight.

The England international is currently serving a ban for breaching betting rules, and he will be back available in January, which is when the Blues will go hard for his services. Brentford are well aware of the situation, and they are expecting quite a lot of bids for Toney’s services.

The Bees want £75 million for their ace striker. The Blues have already spent a fortune on new players and cannot afford to match the bid. However, they are desperate to have him in their ranks. As a result, Chelsea are looking to offer Armando Broja in order to lower the Bees’s asking price.

Broja has come through the ranks at Chelsea, and he is a prospect for the future. The 22-year-old has recently returned from a long-term injury but is not yet ready to start games for the London club.

While the Blues rate him highly, they need a proven goalscorer on a priority basis and are ready to sacrifice him in return. Brentford will surely consider this offer as it seems to be a win-win for both teams. The Blues will get their man for less than £75 million, while the Bees will get their hands on a young prospect and will also have financial gains from the deal.
