Manchester City are all set to miss out on the signatures of Barcelona sensations Lamine Yamal and Alejandro Balde.

According to a report by Dean Jones via GIVEMESPORT, Manchester City are keen on having Barcelona duo Lamine Yamal and Alejandro Balde in their ranks. But they will most likely miss out on their services. The duo has been on fire in the ongoing season, and there is a lot of interest in their services. But, Barcelona are unlikely to negotiate their departure.

Alejandro Balde has been playing regular first-team football for the Catalan giants since last season. The 19-year-old left-back has taken over from Jordi Alba, and he has become an integral part of their first team.

Despite being a teenager, Xavi banks on Balde and has started him in the majority of the matches since last summer. Meanwhile, Yamal has been the talk of the town this season. The 16-year-old sensation has already featured in five matches for the Spanish giants this season and he even has two assists to his name.

His impressive performances have also resulted in him being called up to the Spanish national team. The teenage sensation already has two caps and a goal to his name. Yamal’s rise to stardom has been sensational, and the right-winger is expected to play a big part for Barcelona this season.

Both Balde and Yamal are considered to be amongst the best talents to have come through the ranks of La Masia in the past few seasons. The duo has already become an integral part of the senior team, and they will be the foundation of the team that they are looking to build for the future.

While Barcelona have no intentions of selling them, Manchester City are interested in the services of the duo. According to the report, Pep Guardiola’s team went hard to sign the duo in the summer but they failed to strike a deal with the Catalan giants.

Jones said, “I mean, they both seem like pretty integral parts to what Barcelona are going to be building in the coming years. Lamine Yamal has made a ridiculous impact at such a young age for them and it looks like he’s going to be a superstar, so I can’t see City getting him out at the moment.

“Then Alejandro Balde too is obviously a player they’ve been grooming for a moment and a season like this one. They’ve got big plans for them, so yeah, good profiling from Man City as always, but looks like these ones might have to just pass them by.”

Manchester City might have failed to sign them this summer but they are expected to return in the near future. Barcelona are unlikely to sanction a sale for either of them and Jones believes that City have scouted two exceptional players like they always do but they might not be able to land either of them at the club..
