Galatasaray are on the verge of signing Davinson Sanchez from Tottenham after agreeing to a €10-15 million fee, including add-ons.
Fabrizio Romano gave the ‘Here We Go’ for Davinson Sanchez’s move to Galatasaray. The out-of-favour Colombian defender could not move on deadline day, and now the Turkish champions have signed him on a permanent deal along with Tanguy Ndombele on loan.
Galatasaray have swooped in on Tottenham defender Davinson Sanchez while the Turkish window remains open. The £42 million outcast is out of Ange Postecoglou’s plans for the season, as Spurs were actively looking to sell him throughout the summer.
Now, Galatasaray have agreed to a €10-15 million fee with Tottenham to sign the defender permanently, and they have also taken midfielder Tanguy Ndombele on loan. Both those deals will bolster their squad for the upcoming season, especially as the duo pack plenty of experience in the Champions League.
Tottenham could not find a suitor for Sanchez throughout the window. They were in talks with Galatasaray earlier and proposed a part-exchange deal involving the £42 million outcast for their Danish centre-back Victor Nelsson.

There were reports of interest from Rennes, but Spurs reportedly rejected a bid from the French side for the Colombian. With the summer window shut in England, Premier League sides could still conduct sales to Turkish and Saudi teams. Earlier in the window, Fulham were also interested and may have plotted a part-exchange involving Spurs target Tosin Adarabioyo.
Galatasaray have taken full advantage of the situation to ensure they get the experienced Sanchez for a reasonable price. The €10-15 million fee includes add-ons, which appears like a good deal for the Turkish champions. The 27-year-old will sign a contract until 2027, and the club have already booked him for medicals in the next 24 hours.
Sanchez has fallen in the pecking order at Tottenham, especially with the arrival of Micky van de Ven from Wolfsburg. Furthermore, Spurs failed to offload some other defensive stars like Eric Dier, which could further threaten his participation under Postecoglou this season.
Sanchez had featured in a few games this term, but that will have been due to an apparent lack of other options. As the £42 million outcast does not have the backing of Spurs, it’s an excellent move to join Galatasaray, where he will play regularly.
