Fulham have reportedly approached Tottenham to enquire about Davinson Sanchez, who has plenty of offers to leave the North Londoners this summer.

According to 90min, Fulham have emerged as a contender to sign unwanted Tottenham star Davinson Sanchez. The Colombian defender has been put on the market by Spurs and has plenty of offers from overseas clubs, even one from Russia.

Davinson Sanchez, the Colombian defender who came to Spurs in a £42 million  deal with a promising future, has failed to live up to expectations. Tottenham no longer consider him a part of their first-team plan and is actively looking to sell the Colombian if the right offer arrives.

Considering the £42 million they paid years ago, Sanchez will not fetch anywhere close to that figure. Clubs are aware of the cut-price fee they might have to pay to secure the experienced Colombian, and quite a few are lined up.

From OGC Nice, Galatasaray to Spartak Moscow have made offers, with Sanchez yet to choose from the lot. Meanwhile, Fulham have now approached Tottenham with an enquiry about the Colombian as Silva eyes important defensive reinforcements.

Considering Sanchez knows all about the Premier League, he could become a good option for the club. There are quite a few important decisions on Silva’s hands before the season opens, with defensive signings one of his priorities.

Silva could lose Tosin Adarabioyo to another club, with Tottenham also somewhat keen on the defender. The England youth international had featured in 25 games last season and was one of Fulham’s most important players.

With Sanchez readily available, Fulham could allow the Colombian to remain in the Premier League and London. The defender could decide in due course, but it will also depend on the offer the Cottagers propose.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are already in talks with several defenders. They are about to close the deal for Micky van de Ven and have considered paying big for Edmond Tapsoba of Bayer Leverkusen. The idea will surround bringing at least two centre-backs and paving the way for unwanted players to leave the club.

Talks with Barcelona over Clement Lenglet have also cooled down. Tottenham remain keen on the Bundesliga pair. Hence, one should expect Tottenham to accelerate their actions on sales, including that of Sanchez.
