Serie A club Frosinone have managed to acquire the services of 21-year-old Real Madrid prospect Reinier Jesus on loan.
Frosinone have signed Reinier Jesus on a season-long loan from Real Madrid. They have officially announced his signing from the Spanish giants. The 21-year-old has joined the Serie A club on a temporary basis until the summer of 2024 and will not have a purchase option in the agreement.
Reinier Jesus came through the ranks at Flamengo. The Brazil youth international managed to impress quite a few clubs while playing for the Brazilian club’s first team. There was a lot of interest in his services, but Real Madrid still managed to come out on top and acquired his services in the winter of 2020.
Despite having signed for Los Blancos back in 2020, the 21-year-old is yet to feature for their first team. He has featured for their B team and has been subject to multiple loan moves over the years. Just six months after joining them, he was sent out on a two-year loan move to Borussia Dortmund where he could only feature in 39 matches and contributed towards just two goals.
Last season, he was on loan at Spanish club Girona. The Brazilian youth international featured in only 18 matches and was on the pitch for less than 700 minutes. He did not have enough game time and could not really have the kind of impact that would have helped him force his way into Real Madrid.

The 21-year-old returned to his parent club but there was no place for him in the first team. Los Blancos already had a star-studded midfield, and they have added Jude Bellingham and Arda Guller in the ongoing window.
Since Reinier is still young and has huge potential, Real Madrid did not want to sell him. They started looking for another loan move. Over the past few days Italian club Frosinone showcased their interest in the 21-year-old.
They had an exceptional season in the Serie B last time out and managed to return to the top flight. The Serie A club want to survive relegation at all costs and they were keen on adding more firepower.
They were on the lookout for a creative player who could also add goals. And, Frosinone have found the perfect fit in Reinier Jesus. With the loan now officially complete, it will be interesting to see what kind of impact the 21-year-old has in Serie A.
