Crystal Palace are interested in acquiring the services of the 24-year-old Leeds United winger Luis Sinisterra.
According to a report by Football Transfers, Crystal Palace are looking to bolster their attack before the end of the transfer window and they are considering making a move for Luis Sinisterra. The 24-year-old Leeds United winger’s future has been uncertain for a while now and he could end up making a move before the end of the deadline day.
Sinisterra came into the limelight while playing for Feyenoord. After four impressive seasons with the Dutch club, the 24-year-old joined Leeds United last summer. He made the move to England in hopes of taking his career to the next level. But, things haven’t gone according to plan.
He struggled with injuries and could only appear in a total of 22 matches. Despite being on the pitch for just over 1,000 minutes, he managed to rack up eight goal contributions. On an individual level, he surely did his bit but still couldn’t help Leeds United survive in the English top flight.
Their drop has resulted in quite a few players leaving the club and even Sinisterra wants to part ways. The 24-year-old wants to play top-tier football and even declined to feature in two of their games earlier in the window. He made the decision believing that there was a relegation clause in his contract. While there was one, it had already expired.
Post that he has been involved in two Championship matches and has already found the back of the net once. While he has started featuring in games for Leeds, the 24-year-old is still keen on parting ways with the club.
The Colombian international is open to a move elsewhere and Crystal Palace are the ones interested in his services. The Eagles are looking to bolster their attack and have identified Sinisterra as an important transfer target.
Palace are having internal discussions over signing the 24-year-old winger. And, they could end up placing a bid for his services on the transfer deadline day. But, it will be interesting to see if Leeds United agree to sell him given that there is very little time left to secure a replacement.
