Manchester City agree deal to sign Leon Lalic

Manchester City have managed to reach an agreement with FC Red Bull Salzburg for the services of 17-year-old Leon Lalic.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City have secured the services of 17-year-old wonderkid Leon Lalic. The Croatian youth international has huge potential and has been on their radar for quite a while now. Finally, they have managed to strike a deal with Red Bull Salzburg for his services.

Lalic joined the Austrian club back in the summer of 2019. Since joining them, he has gone up the ranks and from strength to strength. The 17-year-old is currently a part of their Under-18 setup and has been putting in some exceptional performances.

He has been involved in a total of 16 matches for their Under-18 team and has even contributed with three goals. Lalic has even featured for the Croatian Under-17 team. The 17-year-old is an exceptional talent who will get better with time.

The teenage sensation is versatile in nature. He can featured in a central midfield role, as an attacking midfielder as well as a right midfielder. His exceptional abilities and versatility have not gone unnoticed.

The Croatian youth international has been on the radar of multiple top clubs from across Europe. But, the City Group have already won the race for his services. City Group’s most successful club Manchester City have struck a deal with Red Bull Salzburg for his services.

While the 17-year-old has joined Manchester City, he will initially join City Group’s Belgian club Lommel. He is expected to stay there for a few years and get some first-team experience before moving on to joining the English club.

Lalic will get enough first-team experience at the Belgian club and he will be able to work on his game and prepare himself for the English top flight. Eventually, he could end up being a great player for Manchester City given the kind of potential he has.

City Group scouts have been monitoring him for more than two years and they have finally got their hands on 2006-born talent. On top of that, it is the first-ever deal from Red Bull Salzburg to the City Group. And, with all things sorted there should be an official announcement soon.
