Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly vying for 16-year-old Croatian wonderkid Dino Klapija from NK Kustosija.

Chelsea and Manchester United are two teams in the race to sign 16-year-old Croatian wonderkid Dino Klapija, per Daily Mail. A host of European heavyweights are vying for the NK Kustosija prodigy, who has impressed at different youth levels. And Barcelona are among his other suitors.

Premier League clubs could get busier in the latter stages of the transfer window. But they are also keeping a close eye on youth prospects from other clubs. They will undoubtedly focus on senior signings to improve their first-team squad, especially the bigwigs in England.

The market for prodigious talent has thrived this summer, with many clubs making headline signings. Then, some are constantly looking for new talents to bring in and improve their youth ranks. Manchester United and Chelsea are among those, and they have looked at some options.

As the window shrinks, the Premier League clubs have set their sights on 16-year-old Croatian wonderkid Dino Klapija. The US-born striker has shone at youth levels and had already seen some high-profile sides vying for his signature.

The 16-year-old left the US with his family when they decided to return to Croatia. Klapija was pencilled in to join Dinamo Zagreb back in their home country. Then, NK Kustosija snapped up the exciting striker, for they have a brilliant track record for developing young stars.

Meanwhile, English giants Manchester United and Chelsea are part of several teams keen on signing Klapija from Kustosjia. The Red Devils are already looking at several youth options, with Norwegian talent Sverre Nypan one of their targets.

Similarly, they want to develop their striker options for the future, as they have very few talents coming in that position. Their recent signing of Rasmus Hojlund showed they were keen on the profile and could put into bringing Klipija to Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have been hoarding young talents from around the world as Todd Boehly continues to invest generously. They have also tried to use some of their recently acquired youth talents to buy a striker. But overall, they will continue to push to bring prodigious talents to Stamford Bridge in the future.

Hence, Chelsea’s interest in Klapija comes as no surprise, with the Blues likely to push in the background to sign the 16-year-old Croatian wonderkid. There is fierce competition for the Croatian star.

Barcelona are among his other suitors. The Blaugrana have a history with NK Kustosija this summer, signing Mikayil Faye from the club. But the lure of Premier League clubs could prove too decisive for the teenager to turn down. And it will be interesting to see if Chelsea or Manchester United beat Barcelona and others to his signature.
