Manchester City have agreed personal terms with 21-year-old winger Jeremy Doku amidst interest from West Ham United.

According to Sacha Tavolieri, Manchester City are closing in on the signatures of Jeremy Doku. They are keen on having him in their ranks before the end of the transfer and have reached an agreement on personal terms with the player. While they are preparing an initial offer for his services, West Ham United are plotting a hijack.

Doku came through the ranks at RSC Anderlecht and made it to their first team. On the back of his heroics, Rennes acquired his service back in October 2020. Since making the move to France, the 21-year-old has gone from strength to strength.

He has featured in a total of 91 matches for the French club and has been involved in 22 goals. Last season, he was involved in a total of 35 matches and was on the pitch for just over 1,600 minutes. Despite not being a guaranteed starter, the Belgian international racked up 11 goal contributions.

Doku’s performances have been sensational and there is a lot of interest in his services. With his contract running out in two years time, this might be a great opportunity for Rennes to cash in on him amid interest from Manchester City and West Ham United.

Manchester City have been linked with the 21-year-old for a while now. With Riyad Mahrez no longer at the club, Pep Guardiola wants to add a right winger, and he is keen on having Doku at his disposal. While he might not have a starting role at the club, the Belgian international is a huge prospect for the future and Guardiola has no intentions of missing out on him.

The Premier League champions have been in talks with the player’s representatives for a while now. And, they have managed to reach an agreement on personal terms with the 21-year-old. He is ready to pen down a five-year deal with the club.

The youngster is desperate to join the treble winners and has already had a conversation with Pep Guardiola. With personal terms agreed, Manchester City are preparing to put forward an official bid for the 21-year-old, who is valued at €55 million by the Ligue 1 club.

Meanwhile, West Ham United are also interested in the Belgian international. They are in talks with Rennes and are plotting a hijack. The Hammers are looking to put forward a bigger offer than Manchester City.
