Manchester United are all set to hold talks with the representatives of Aaron Wan-Bissaka as they look to renew his contract.

According to Daily Mail, Manchester United are keen on extending the stay of Aaron Wan-Bissaka at the club. The Red Devils are very impressed with what they have been from the full-back over the past six months and are ready to offer him a new contract.

Wan-Bissaka joined Manchester United back in the summer of 2019 from Crystal Palace. The 25-year-old has since gone from strength to strength making a total of 160 appearances for their first team and even contributing towards 13 goals.

While he has been the first-choice right-back over the years, things changed at the start of the 2022/23 season. The arrival of Erik ten Hag saw him pushed down the pecking order, and he wasn’t getting enough minutes on the pitch.

This resulted in him being linked with a move away from Manchester United. However, the 25-year-old managed to turn things around in the second half of the season. Wan-Bissaka managed to put in some really impressive performances, and he has won the trust of Ten Hag.

The 25-year-old, who pockets £100,000-a-week wages, ended up making 34 appearances last season and racked up close to 2,600 minutes of game time. He played an important role in helping them win the EFL Cup and qualify for the Champions League.

Wan-Bissaka’s performances have forced Manchester United to think about a contract renewal. The 25-year-old’s current contract runs out next summer. But there is an option to extend it by another 12 months. However, the Red Devils are looking to give him a long-term contract, and they are ready to increase his £100,000-a-week wages in order to get it done.
