Chelsea poised to table fresh bid to sign Moises Caicedo

Chelsea are ready to put forward a fresh bid to acquire the services of 21-year-old Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo.

According to Rudy Galetti, Chelsea are keen on having Moises Caicedo in their ranks. The Blues have already had multiple bids rejected by Brighton & Hove Albion for the 21-year-old. But, the London club are not willing to give up and are ready to submit a fresh offer for the Ecuadorian international with a take-it-or-leave-it criteria attached to it.

Chelsea had a forgettable 2022/23 season, as they could not even finish in the top half of the Premier League table despite spending a fortune on new players. Signing as many as 16 players last season resulted in a huge squad which has been trimmed down in the ongoing transfer window.

The Blues have sold quite a few players. While they wanted to cut down their squad size and offload a few of their senior players, Chelsea have lost a lot of quality in the process. They have let go of some quality players from the centre of the park in Mason Mount, N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic. And, are now in desperate need of signing a new midfielder.

The Blues are keen on having Moises Caicedo in their ranks. They believe the 21-year-old has all the qualities in the world to replacce Kante and Kovacic. He could do wonders for them, and he fits their project which is focused on signing young quality players.

While Chelsea are pushing hard for his services, Brighton & Hove Albion are determined to not let him leave for less than £100 million. And, the Seagulls have already rejected three bids from the London club.

Brighton had recently extended Caicedo’s contract, and with quite a few years left on his deal, they are in the driving seat. Meanwhile, the Blues are not ready to give up, and they are willing to try again for the 21-year-old’s services.

Chelsea are ready to put forward a fresh bid for his services. They are planning to make an offer which will be close to Brigton’s asking price with add-ons included. This will be a take-it-or-leave-it offer for Brighton. Meanwhile, the Blues already have an agreement on personal terms with the player who is now pushing for the move to the London club.
