And, they have set their sights on the Atletico Madrid star Marcos Llorente. The 28-year-old has attracted a lot of interest from Saudi Arabia amidst uncertainty around his future. His contract with the Madrid-based club runs until the summer of 2027 but there has been uncertainty over his future of late. And, there is a real possibility of his departure in the ongoing transfer window. There is a lot of interest from Saudi Pro League clubs and they are ready to offer him a massive contract to move to the Middle East.

While a move to SPL looked likely, Newcastle United’s arrival has changed things. The English club are back in the Champions League after ages and they are looking to further bolster their squad. They have already added Sandro Tonali and Harvey Barnes. And, are now pushing for the Spanish international.

Eddie Howe wants to have enough depth and quality in his midfield. As a result, he is keen on having the 28-year-old in his ranks. The two clubs are expected to start negotiations soon and post that they will hold talks with the player who is looking for a new experience.
