Manchester United are ready to allow 19-year-old prospect Radek Vitek to leave on loan, with League Two side Accrington Stanley keen.
According to The Sun, Manchester United could allow Radek Vitek to leave on loan this summer. The Red Devils could sanction a move for the 19-year-old prospect once he recovers from a minor injury, with League Two side Accrington Stanley interested.
There is an excellent goalkeeping clearout happening at Manchester United, which, if it goes to plan, will see a new crop of stoppers at the club. Erik ten Hag has identified the area needing a revamp, and together with the club, they are finding solutions for at least three of their keepers.
Having signed Andre Onana from Inter Milan and allowing David de Gea to leave the club, ten Hag wants a new keeper for his first-team plans. Tom Heaton will remain with Manchester United after the manager denied him a move earlier in the summer.
They are also linked with Japanese keeper Zion Suzuki as a move could happen in the latter stages of the window. It will materialise once Manchester United manage to offload Dean Henderson, with Nottingham Forest interested. Steve Cooper has pushed this transfer to the latter stages of the window and now focuses on signing Arsenal star Matt Turner.
Meanwhile, 23-year-old, Under-21 keeper Matej Kovar remains linked with moving away. There are plenty of prospects for the Czech star with Sparta Prague, where he spent the previous season on loan and wants him permanently. Hull City and Red Star Belgrade also hold interest, while Aston Villa could target him to become their third-choice stopper for the season.
Then there’s Radek Vitek, the 19-year-old prospect with the interest of Accrington Stanley. The League Two side were keen on him from before. But then they had a rift with current No.1 Toby Savin, which has since been resolved.
Hence, Accrington Stanley cannot provide Vitek with guarantees of regular football as their No.1 choice. Savin will likely retain that position. But the 19-year-old prospect could still shuffle with acute competition for places.
Manchester United are open to allowing the 19-year-old to leave on loan. They will sanction a move once the keeper recovers from a minor injury sustained during pre-season. Vitek also played for the club against Wrexham in the US and has a promising career ahead.
