Manchester United have secured an agreement on personal terms with 26-year-old Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.

According to a report by Alfredo Pedullà, Manchester United have already sorted out personal terms with Sofyan Amrabat ahead of a potential move in the ongoing transfer window. The 26-year-old midfielder is on the radar of multiple clubs from across Europe but the Red Devils now have an advantage thanks to an agreement with the player.

Amrabat has been the talk of the town over the past six months. There has been a lot of interest in his services and quite a few clubs have been keeping a close eye on the Moroccan international.

Barcelona are one of the clubs that have been constantly linked with the 26-year-old but they are unlikely to be in the race at this point in time when we consider the asking price set by Fiorentina. The Catalan giants are struggling financially and can’t really afford to meet the asking price,

Meanwhile, Liverpool are also interested in the Moroccan international. The Reds are keen on signing a new defensive midfielder and have Amrabat on their radar. With Fabinho all set to leave the club, they want to secure a replacement as soon as possible. The Merseyside club approached the 26-year-old but he is not keen on joining them.

Amrabat’s contract at the Italian club runs out next summer and he is not interested in extending his stay in Italy. As a result, Fiorentina don’t have many options to play with. They are ready to offload him but are looking for a base fee of around €23-25 million plus bonuses.

The Red Devils are keen on further bolstering their midfield and want to land the 26-year-old at the club. Despite having signed Mason Mount from Chelsea, they are pushing for another midfielder. They are looking for someone who is naturally more defensive and believe Amrabat could be a great fit.

The club have been in contact with the player for a while now and have finally reached an agreement on personal terms. They have an agreement in principle regarding his wages which will be between €4-4.5 million plus bonuses. And, he will be penning down a multi-year contract with the Manchester-based club.

While there is agreement on personal terms, the Red Devils are yet to make an official offer for his services. They are expected to soon push for an agreement with the club but one thing is certain, they are in the lead for his signatures at this point in time.
