Unai Emery’s Aston Villa are all set to put forward an offer for the services of 20-year-old Levante full-back Marc Pubill.

According to a report by COPE, Aston Villa are keen on having Marc Pubill in their ranks ahead of next season. The 20-year-old full-back has been on their radar for a while now, and they have started making moves to acquire his services.

While they haven’t placed an official bid yet, the English club have been in contact with the player as well as the Spanish club. And the youngster’s entourage believe Aston Villa will soon present an offer to sign him.

Pubill joined Levante’s youth setup in the summer of 2020. He started off with their Under-19 team and has managed to come up the ranks and become an important part of their first team. After being promoted to their first team ahead of the 2022-23 season, the Spain youth international featured in a total of 31 matches and was on the pitch for 2,100 minutes.

The 20-year-old full-back even contributed with two goals and an assist. While he failed to help them gain promotion to the top flight despite having finished third in the Segunda division, Pubill managed to impress one and all with his consistent performances. And, there are quite a few clubs interested in signing him ahead of next season, including Aston Villa.

Meanwhile, Levante’s financial situation is not that great, and his departure will bring in a decent amount. With his contract running until the summer of 2026, they are looking for a fee of over €5 million. Their priority is to secure a certain percentage of a future sale of Pubill.

Aston Villa are keen on having him in their ranks and have been making moves to land him at the club. The English club have already contacted Levante’s sports director, Felipe Miñambres over a potential move for the Spain youth international.

While Aston Villa have only made an initial approach at this point in time, there is a real possibility of an official bid being placed in the near future. People close to the player believe that Unai Emery’s team will soon put forward an offer to sign him.

After having a great first season under the Spanish boss, Aston Villa are looking to bolster their squad in order to take the next step. And, acquiring the services of the 20-year-old Spanish defender will surely help them in the present as well as the future.
