With PSG ready to sell, Liverpool have emerged as one of the top candidates for his services. While there is interest from the Saudi Pro League clubs as well as Spanish giants Atletico Madrid, the Merseyside club are ready to battle it out for his signatures.

The 30-year-old is still keen on continuing in Europe and has no intentions of accepting an offer from the Middle East. As a result, Liverpool are well and truly in the race for his services.

The Merseyside club have already signed Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai. But, their midfield overhaul is far from complete. Jurgen Klopp’s team are all set to lose out on Fabinho and Jordan Henderson. The duo is all set to join Saudi Pro League clubs.

As a result, the German manager is looking for an experienced midfielder who can lead by example and he believes, the 30-year-old could do wonders for his team. The Italian international could be an ideal replacement for their skipper Jordan Henderson. And, they are ready to go all out for his services.
