Tottenham Hotspur have established contact with 25-year-old Fiorentina striker Arthur Cabral over a potential transfer in the ongoing window.
According to a report by GOAL, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in the services of Arthur Cabral. The 25-year-old striker, whose price tag is €40 million, has been in decent form of late, and quite a few clubs are after his signature. Spurs have already established contacts with the player’s entourage as they look to prepare for life without Harry Kane.
Kane’s future has been up in the air ever since the 2022/23 season ended. His contract with the London club runs out in a year’s time. While Spurs have offered him a new lucrative deal, the player is not keen on penning down a contract extension.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are keen on having him in their ranks. They have been in negotiations with the English club for a while now. Spurs have already rejected multiple bids from the German giants. However, Bayern are not ready to give up and will most likely try once again.
With Kane’s departure becoming a real possibility with every passing day, Tottenham are looking for a potential replacement. And, one of their targets is the 25-year-old Brazilian striker Arthur Cabral.
Cabral joined Fiorentina back in the winter of 2022 from FC Basel and has since featured in a total of 64 matches. He has found the back of the net on a total of 19 occasions and has also bagged four assists.
As far as the 2022/23 season is concerned, the 25-year-old was involved in 48 matches and he was on the pitch for just over 2,500 minutes. Out of his total 19 goals for the club, 17 came last season. On the back of impressive performances, Tottenham are interested in having him in their ranks.
They have been in talks with the player’s manager, Paulo Pitombeira regarding a potential transfer. According to the report, the Italian club are ready to sell but have demanded a considerable fee of €40 million for the 25-year-old who has three years left on his deal with Fiorentina.
While Tottenham are interested in the Brazilian striker, he is not the only one they are monitoring. There are quite a few players on their list of potential targets, and they will only make concrete moves if and when Kane leaves. Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see if Spurs pay €40 million for Cabral if Kane leaves.
