Harry Kane has decided not to sign a new contract, leading to Tottenham demanding £100 million from suitors, with Bayern Munich the front runners.

According to The Times, Tottenham have slapped a £100 million price tag on Harry Kane after the striker decided against signing a new deal. Daniel Levy is open to selling the talismanic forward for the right price, with Bayern Munich leading the chase for the England captain.

Tottenham were dealt a bitter blow in their quest to keep their talismanic striker Harry Kane. The England skipper has reportedly rejected a new deal and may not sign one. Recent media reports pointed at a £400,000-a-week offer, but the forward wants to move on.

Kane has spent his entire career at Tottenham and even became their record goalscorer last season. The conversation surrounding the striker often stops at the idea of winning trophies, and he has none at Spurs.

With the forward approaching 30 next week, there is increasing pressure on his shoulders to cement his legacy with titles, something he may not achieve at his current club.

Hence, the idea of him moving has taken precedence, and Bayern Munich are at the centre of a transfer saga. They have held fresh talks with Tottenham for Kane and have also seen two bids rejected. The Bavarians are not backing away from their stance and could pay top dollar if Spurs decide on selling him.

Bayern are confident Kane wants to join them. But Tottenham’s previous valuation of £120 million seems out of their reach. With Spurs putting forward a new offer, they are set to face rejection from their striker, who scored 32 goals last season.

Kane wants a new challenge and will not renew his deal at the club. The forward’s stance may have forced Tottenham to set a £100 million price and will now wait for suitors to start bidding. He has a year left on his deal, and many top clubs would like to take him on a Bosman move next summer.

Hence, with Kane’s clear stance, the ball is in Tottenham’s court to decide the next course of action. Bayern are waiting in the wings to get a green light and possibly make a third offer for the striker. For now, the Bavarians are in front of the queue. But depending on how the striker market evolves, some other top teams could also come into the mix.
