Ryan Gravenberch is reportedly open to joining Liverpool if the Premier League side advance with their interest during this window.

According to Ben Jacobs via Give Me Sport, Ryan Gravenberch would open his doors to join Liverpool this summer. The Reds do have an interest in the 21-year-old Dutch midfielder, but any move might hinge on the financials involved for both clubs.

Bayern Munich seems open to letting a few of their players leave for the right price, as there’s considerable interest in some. Those include Ryan Gravenberch, considered a top talent but remains on the periphery of their first team plans.

He managed 33 appearances in all competitions last season, totalling only 937 minutes. Things were better under Thomas Tuchel than with Julian Nagelsmann. Yet, the midfielder might consider his options if his stature remains the same.

Liverpool have maintained an interest in the midfielder but has yet to show any concrete movements. In any case, as per Ben Jacobs, Gravenberch would like to join Jurgen Klopp’s side if an opportunity came along.

Jacobs said: “Ryan Gravenberch would be interested in a move to Liverpool. Bayern’s starting position was that they didn’t want to sell him.

“But Gravenberch was not particularly happy under Julian Nagelsmann. Even though Thomas Tuchel is in charge now, the player may be quite open to that move. It’s just a case of whether Bayern are prepared to sell. No headway has been made yet.”

Gravenberch joined Bayern from Ajax last season in a deal worth around £20 million. The 21-year-old has a contract until 2027 worth £152,000 a week in wages. It will take Liverpool to invest heavily in the midfielder, which could have been the reason for the need for concrete approaches so far.

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp will continue searching for new midfielders after some late developments. Liverpool have agreed on a deal for Jordan Henderson to leave for Saudi side Al Ettifaq, while Fabinho seems out of the club. Thiago Alcantara might also depart, leaving the club short of personnel in midfield.

They are keen on several stars, with Aston Villa’s Boubacar Kamara and Crystal Palace’ Cheick Doucoure on their shortlist. There are others too, but the club are nowhere near finalising any moves so far.

It will take a big effort from Klopp to reshape his midfield ahead of the next season. The late developments with Saudi clubs may have already disrupted his season preparations. He would not have hoped for those issues earlier when they swiftly moved to sign Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.
