Goncalo Ramos has been linked with a move away from Benfica this summer, with Manchester United and PSG keen on signing him.

According to 90min, Paris Saint-Germain have now entered the race to sign Goncalo Ramos. And they will compete with Manchester United for his signature. Meanwhile, Benfica will demand around €80 million to part ways with the Portuguese international.

The Portuguese international striker had an impressive season with Benfica, scoring 27 goals across all competitions and picking up 12 assists across the way. He scored a memorable hat-trick in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar as well.

The 22-year-old is highly rated around European football, and he has the potential to develop into a top-class goalscorer. PSG need to bring in attacking reinforcements, and they are currently advancing in talks to sign the player. The French outfit certainly have the financial resources to tempt Benfica into selling their prized asset.

So it remains to be seen whether Manchester United can fend off the competition from them. The striker is reportedly valued at €80 million this summer. The Red Devils need to bring in a quality striker as well. Marcus Rashford carried their attack all by himself last season and the England international needs more support from his teammates.

Ramos would be a superb acquisition for both clubs, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up. Both PSG and Manchester United can provide him with an exciting platform to showcase his qualities. Both clubs will look to compete for major trophies next season, and Ramos would certainly make a difference for them in the final third.

The 22-year-old is still quite young and he is likely to improve further with coaching and experience. PSG have already parted ways with Lionel Messi this summer and Kylian Mbappe has been put up for sale as well.
