The 20-year-old was reportedly given assurances about first-team action next season, while the recent injury to Wesley Fofana could force the club’s hand in keeping the defender on board.
Levi Colwill’s future remains one of the interesting topics of this transfer window. The defender arrived back at Chelsea for pre-season following a successful time at Brighton and with the England U21 Euros. Premier League sides, including Brighton and Liverpool, seek the 20-year-old.
