Leicester City are considering a move for Amad Diallo, as Manchester United are willing to loan out the attacker once again.

According to 90min, Leicester City have joined the chase for Amad Diallo as they plot a loan move for the winger. After a tremendous season with Sunderland in the Championship, the Foxes would like to take the Manchester United star to aid their bid to play Premier League football again in 2024.

Former Premier League champions Leicester City were the surprising pack of last season as they suffered relegation. Considering the squad at their disposal, the Foxes should have never even been close to the bottom three, let alone playing their football in the Championship next season.

All they can do now is plan ahead and find a way to play top-flight football again in 2024. The best way to do that is by winning the Championship or finishing in the automatic qualifying places. Despite losing several of their key stars like Youri Tielemans and James Maddison, the Foxes still have a compelling squad for the second tier.

They would like to strengthen their squad further, especially considering Harvey Barnes could also depart. Hence, Leicester are ready to target Amad Diallo as a possible replacement, as the club would like to take him on loan.

Diallo signed from Atalanta for an initial fee of nearly £18-20 million. But the winger has not received his chance to play proper first-team football at Manchester United. The club are considering loaning him again for the upcoming season to further aid his development.

At Old Trafford, the wide attacking berth seems full at the moment, especially after the rise of Alejandro Garnacho. Antony, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho take up their place in the team, leaving Diallo below in the pecking order.

While his excellent season in the Championship has several English teams angling for a move, Diallo might also consider joining a Premier League side. There’s reported interest from a few sides in the top flight. But any decision will also depend on how much game time he could get at those sides.

Hence, a move to the Championship could remain on the cards, especially Leicester City, who are hungry to return to the top flight. With a spot opening up in that team due to the potential exit of Barnes, Diallo could forge a reputation and ready himself to become a first-team member of Manchester United in 2024.
