Arsenal have reportedly cooled their interest in signing 19-year-old Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia but might make a move later.

Dharmesh Sheth has told Give Me Sport that Arsenal have now moved on from Romeo Lavia. But they might make a move for him later in the transfer window if the situation permits. The Belgian midfielder, valued at £45 million by Southampton, is also a target for clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United.

Southampton have been relegated from the Premier League, and the 19-year-old has been linked with a move away from the club. He could return to the top flight immediately, and it will be interesting to see if the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United can agree on a deal with Southampton.

The Blues need to bring in a quality long-term replacement for N’Golo Kante, and the 19-year-old could prove to be a superb long-term investment. Meanwhile, Liverpool midfielder Fabinho is thought to be closing in on a move to Saudi Arabia. So the Reds will have to replace him adequately.

As far as Manchester United are concerned, Fred and Scott McTominay have been linked with moves away from Old Trafford. It is evident that all three Premier League clubs are in need of midfield reinforcements, and Lavia has the potential to develop into a top-class player.

The Belgian midfielder, valued at £45 million, has the potential to thrive at the highest level, and he could be a key player for all three clubs. It will be interesting to see if Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United are willing to break the bank for the 19-year-old.

Meanwhile, Arsenal recently completed the signing of Declan Rice for a British transfer record sum. So it is no surprise that they have moved on from the defensive midfielder. Rice is a far more developed option and the 24-year-old England international should prove to be a tremendous addition to the Arsenal midfield.

Dharmesh Sheth has told Give Me Sport that the Gunners might return for the talented young Southampton midfielder later. So it will be interesting to see how the situation develops. Lavia will want to join a club where he will get regular first-team action.

So a move to Arsenal might not be ideal for him either. The Gunners already have Thomas Partey and Declan Rice, who are likely to start in the midfield pivot. A move to Chelsea, Manchester United or Liverpool would be better suited for the talented young midfielder this summer.
