Chelsea are interested in acquiring the services of 23-year-old Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic ahead of next season.
According to TuttoSport, Chelsea want to acquire the services of Dusan Vlahovic and have already held talks with Juventus. The 23-year-old’s future has been uncertain of late and he is expected to be on the move in the ongoing summer.
Vlahovic came into the limelight on the back of his heroics for Fiorentina. His consistent performances in front of the goal resulted in a big-money move to Juventus in the winter of 2022.
He has done decent since making the move to the Old Lady but hasn’t been as impactful as one had expected him to be. And, Juventus are thinking about offloading him in the ongoing summer given their financial crisis.
The Turin-based club have gone through a lot of late. They have been involved in some legal trouble and their finances haven’t been up to the mark. As a result, they are forced to raise funds by selling players and are ready to let go of the Serbian international.
Meanwhile, there is a lot of interest from Chelsea. The Blues struggled throughout last season and ended up finishing mid-table. While it was an overall struggle, their attack was the focus point as they failed to fire in front of the goal.
The London club want to sort out their attack as soon as possible by signing a new number nine. With Romelu Lukaku likely to leave the club for Inter Milan, they won’t have a proper forward to work with.
As a result, they are keen on having Vlahovic in their ranks. The Serbian might not have lit up the world at Juventus but he has surely done his bit and could be a great addition to their ranks.
The Blues have already held talks with the Old Lady. The negotiations are progressing as they look to land him at the club. Meanwhile, the report suggests that Juventus will be looking to make at least €70 million from his sale.
While the Blues are keen on having him in their ranks, they are not the only club after his services. Even PSG, Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in him. They will surely make it difficult for Mauricio Pochettino’s team.
