Tottenham Hotspur are optimistic about acquiring the services of 26-year-old Juventus centre-back Gleison Bremer.

According to a report by Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspurs are keen on acquiring the services of Gleison Bremer. The 26-year-old defender’s future has been uncertain of late because of Juventus’ financial situation and he could be on the move just a year after joining them.

Bremer made a name for himself while playing for Torino. His consistent performances resulted in a move to the Italian giants ahead of the 2022-2 season for a fee of around £43 million.

He has gone from strength to strength since making the move to Juventus. The 26-year-old centre-back featured in a total of 43 matches in his very first season. He was quite impressive and hardly put a foot wrong throughout the campaign.

The Brazilian international even scored five goals and he started in each of his appearances. He has become an integral part of Massimiliano Allegri’s setup. However, they might be forced to offload him in the ongoing window.

Juventus are in a very crunch situation because of Financial Fair Play concerns and they are looking to raise a significant sum by offloading their stars. The Old Lady are open to the idea of offloading the 26-year-old who has a contract with the club that runs until the summer of 2027.

Having spent around £43 million, the Italian giants are looking to recoup the money they had spent. And, they could let him leave for as low as £42.7 million despite his exceptional form over the past 12 months.

Meanwhile, Spurs are aware of the situation and are looking to exploit it. They are in search of defensive reinforcement and are ready to strike a bargain deal for the 26-year-old centre-back. The London club are confident about striking a deal for his services.

The Brazilian centre-back has been on Spurs’ radar for a while now. They were keen on signing him back in the day before he made the move to Juventus. Meanwhile, their new manager Ange Postecoglou is a huge admirer of the 26-year-old and wants him at the club ahead of next season.

Postecoglou is desperate to have a new left-sided centre-back in his ranks and with Bremer capable enough to play on either side, he could be a great fit for the club.
