Aston Villa are keen on signing 25-year-old Italian international winger Federico Chiesa in a €60 million deal.

According to Calciomercato, Aston Villa are interested in signing Federico Chiesa. And the Villans are ready to pay €60 million to secure the services of the 25-year-old Juventus winger.

The player has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool as well. The Reds are looking to improve their attacking options, and the 25-year-old Italian international is reportedly on their radar.

However, they are prioritising a move for central midfielders and are unlikely to shell out €60 million for the former Fiorentina talisman. Meanwhile, Aston Villa are ready to break the bank for him, and it remains to be seen whether they can get the deal across the line.

The 25-year-old was regarded as a world-class talent prior to his move to Juventus. But he has been plagued with injuries over the last two seasons. After impressing with his country in UEFA Euro 2020 and helping them win the trophy, he was expected to join one of the biggest clubs in the world. But his progress has been halted because of a serious knee injury.

Chiesa will be hoping to get his career back on track with regular football next season. It remains to be seen whether the player is willing to join Aston Villa this summer. Although the West Midlands club can offer him European football next season, they are a step down from Juventus. Chiesa might be looking to join a club in the Champions League.

It will be interesting to see if Aston Villa can convince him to join them in the coming weeks. Unai Emery needs to add more quality and depth to his attack and the 25-year-old could prove to be a solid acquisition. He is capable of playing on either flank and he would add pace, creativity and goals to their attack.

He could complete the Aston Villa front three alongside Ollie Watkins and Leon Bailey. Aston Villa have improved a lot under Emery, and adding players like Chiesa would take them to a whole new level.
