Borussia Dortmund are interested in re-signing 23-year-old Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho ahead of next season.

According to Sky Germany, Borussia Dortmund are keen on bringing back Jadon Sancho at the club. The Bundesliga giants are considering pushing for the services of the 23-year-old winger who is currently a part of Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United.

Sancho burst onto the scene while playing for Dortmund. He managed to put in exceptional performances during the four years he was at the club. The former Manchester City youth product became a household name in the Bundesliga, and there was a lot of interest in his services.

Manchester United managed to overcome the competition and acquired his services in the summer of 2021 for a fee of around €85 million. The 23-year-old was expected to help Manchester United get back on track. But he has not had the desired impact.

Over the last two seasons, he has featured in 79 matches for the Red Devils. The England international has only managed a total of 18 goal contributions. He has found the back of the net on 12 occasions and has six assists to his name.

While there are still three years left on his deal, talks of a possible move elsewhere have been going around ever since the 2022/23 season ended. And, Borussia Dortmund have emerged as a potential destination.

The Bundesliga giants still have a great relationship with the player, and they are open to the idea of having him back at the club. People at the club do not rule out pushing for his transfer. But that is something which won’t happen until the very end of the ongoing season.

While they are open to the idea of bringing back the England international, they cannot really afford the lofty wages that Manchester United pay him. And, the only way back is a possible loan move. The 23-year-old could join them on a straightforward loan or a loan move with a buy option at a very low price.

While Dortmund are ready to make a move late in the window, the player is not looking to leave Manchester United at this point in time. He wants to revive himself at Old Trafford and is keen on staying.
