Manchester United consider loaning out Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho could be out for a short exile as Manchester United are planning to send the player on a short-term loan in January.

As per TEAMtalk, Manchester United are ready to approve a short-term loan deal for Jadon Sancho, who has not really hit the right note since his much-hyped arrival from Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester United hoped they were getting a solution to their right-wing woes as Sancho was heralded as one of the best young wingers in Europe. But he has not been able to notch down a permanent place in the starting lineup.

The arrival of Erik ten Hag has worked out well for the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial. But Sancho seems to be having a difficult time getting things in order in a proper manner in the ongoing season.

The 22-year-old rose to prominence pretty early in his career as his trickery for Manchester City earned him the first big move of his career to Borussia Dortmund. The youngster took very little time to acclimatise to the German conditions as he emerged as one of the deadliest attackers in the Bundesliga in a very short span of time.

But Sancho has failed to garner much attention on his home soil as he has failed to deliver regularly. He was not involved in Manchester United’s camp in Spain and has been given time off by Erik ten Hag so that he can return to the optimum of his fitness and form.

Chelsea have looked at Sancho as Graham Potter could be delighted with a move. But Manchester United are absolutely adamant not to bolster their direct rival. And a return to Germany might be the best-suited option.

Eminent journalist Graeme Bailey echoed the same, saying, “As it stands Erik Ten Hag thinks he can get Jadon Sancho back to his best. He and his team, including Steve McClaren, have done great work with Marcus Rashford. The jury remains out whether they can do the same though here.”

“Another issue that Sancho will have to contend with could be Cody Gakpo’s potential arrival. That could also impact on his future. But in terms of an imminent sale, that is an absolute non-starter. However, a loan I can see and maybe a return to the Bundesliga to get his confidence back. There is nowhere in the world where he is held in higher regard than in Germany.”

Cody Gakpo’s potential move might hamper Sancho further. And recent reports have claimed that Manchester United are confident of signing the Dutchman. It remains to be seen if Jadon Sancho remains on the books after January or if Manchester United loan the player in an order to change his fortunes.
