Nottingham Forest are ready to pay £30 million to sign Dean Henderson as Manchester United plan on making big changes to the goalkeeping position.

According to Manchester Evening News, Nottingham Forest are ready to pay £30 million to sign Dean Henderson in this window. Steve Cooper maintains an interest in making the England international’s move permanent, and there’s hope considering Manchester United are planning on big changes to their goalkeeping department,

Manchester United have plenty of problems with the goalkeeping situation as they near their first pre-season friendly with Leeds United. As they head towards that game, Erik ten Hag will likely have only one fit goalkeeper in his ranks, Tom Heaton.

Heaton came close to leaving on loan, but with what’s happening at the club, Ten Hag reportedly blocked a move. The situation with David De Gea has put the onus on the club to solve the situation. Manchester United are set to hold face-to-face talks with the Spaniard to resolve his future.

They have held advanced talks with Andre Onana and Inter Milan as Ten Hag views the former Ajax star as a viable replacement for De Gea. In the scenario that the Spaniard leaves, the Cameroonian will certainly become an important target for the Dutch manager.

De Gea could join a Saudi side but even remain at the club. Meanwhile, Manchester United will also have to resolve the future of forgotten goalkeeper Dean Henderson. The 26-year-old had a fruitful loan at Nottingham Forest, with Steve Cooper keen to sign him permanently.

Nottingham Forest have held talks to sign Henderson this summer and are ready to pay £30 million for the Manchester United ace. The 26-year-old may not want to pursue a career at Old Trafford after complaining about his situation before exiting the club non-loan last summer.

Manchester United desperately needs solid funds to further their agenda in the transfer window. They might readily accept the £30 million on offer but could also look to seek more. However, in the current market, the price range seems reasonable for Henderson’s quality, as Cooper wants to build the team with the England star.
