AC Milan are hoping to secure the services of Christian Pulisic from Chelsea before the transfer window closes.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea and AC Milan are getting closer to securing an agreement for Christian Pulisic. The struggling attacker has already agreed personal terms with the Serie A club and is pushing for a move since last week.

Chelsea and AC Milan are close to agreeing on a fee after the second bid of around €22 million was submitted by the Italian club. AC Milan are determined to improve their attacking options this summer, and they are keeping tabs on the Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze as well.

Meanwhile, Pulisic has been an underwhelming option for Chelsea over the past year, and it makes sense for them to cash in on the American international. He has arguably not justified the €64 million outlay on him.

The 24-year-old is still quite young and should be able to get his career back on track with regular football at another club. Meanwhile, the USMNT international already has an agreement with the Serie A giants.

The former Borussia Dortmund winger did make an immediate impact at Chelsea after joining the club for €64 million. But things have not gone according to plan for him over the past year. There is no doubt that he is a tremendous talent with a big future ahead of him and could be a key player for AC Milan.

The 24-year-old will add pace, flair and goals in the final third. The lower intensity of Serie A will suit the American international as well and he could make an immediate impact at Milan. The winger struggled for regular game time last season and he needs to move on in search of regular playing time.

Pulisic managed to impress during the 2022 FIFA World Cup despite struggling at Chelsea. So there is no doubt that there is a quality player in there. Milan will be hoping to get the best out of him in the coming season. And for the reported €22 million price, the transfer seems like a no-brainer.

The American international was regarded as one of the finest young talents in the world during his time in the Bundesliga, and he could transform AC Milan in the final third if he manages to get back to his best once again.
