Callum Hudson-Odoi emerges as a target for London sides Fulham and West Ham United as the 22-year-old attacker set to leave Chelsea.

According to Ben Jacobs, Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi has interest emerging from London sides Fulham and West Ham United. After months of uncertainty, the 22-year-old is keen to depart Stamford Bridge, as he returns to the club after an underwhelming loan spell with Bayer Leverkusen.

Callum Hudson-Odoi once pencilled in to become the future of English football, is steadily slipping into irrelevance. The loan move to Bayer Leverkusen was supposed to enhance his career, but instead, it has played against his development.

An underwhelming time under Xabi Alonso resulted in a solitary goal and only 21 appearances in all competitions. Chelsea had hoped to integrate him but were open to selling the 22-year-old if he does not sign a new contract. With the arrival of Mykhailo Mudryk in January and Christopher Nkunku recently, there’s no place for Hudson-Odoi anymore in this squad.

There’s considerable interest from Fulham and West Ham United in the 22-year-old Chelsea attacker. A move within London would seem comfortable for Hudson-Odoi, but much will depend on whether he gets to play regularly.

West Ham are in the market for a new left-sided wide attacker, with Harvey Barnes linked with a move. However, if they feel Leicester’s asking price is steep, a move for Hudson-Odoi becomes possible. He could also play Europa League next season, which could suit his cause.

As for Fulham, they are looking to sign at least two new wingers in this window. Willian could leave the club after failing to agree on a new deal, as Crystal Palace are interested in signing the Brazilian as a replacement for Wilfried Zaha.

After a successful loan, they have also lost Manor Solomon, as the Israel international seems destined to join Tottenham on a free transfer. Hence, Marco Silva could look at Hudson-Odoi as a viable option for the Cottagers and make an approach.

Of the two teams, West Ham will feel optimistic about this particular transfer due to Fulham’s traditional rivalry with Chelsea. Overall, Hudson-Odoi seems destined to depart Stamford Bridge one way or another, but another hurdle in selling him could come in the form of his current wages.

Westham will succeed with Barnes and shouldn’t penny pinch with anyone else .
