Christian Pulisic agrees AC Milan deal

Chelsea star Christian Pulisic is keen on joining AC Milan and has already reached an agreement in principle with the Italian giants.

According to ESPN, Christian Pulisic wants to join AC Milan ahead of next season. The 24-year-old American international has fallen out of favor at Chelsea and has been looking for greener pastures elsewhere for a while now.

Pulisic came through the ranks at Borussia Dortmund. The American international made quite a name for himself while playing for the German giants. He was amongst the best young stars in world football and his impressive performances attracted the attention of Chelsea who acquired his services for a whopping €64 million back in 2019.

The 24-year-old was an important part of the Blues set up in the initial years. He managed to put in exciting performances on a consistent and was at the top of his game before multiple injuries led to his downfall.

Of late, he has gone down the pecking order. The American international could only manage just over 1000 minutes on the pitch despite being involved in 30 matches throughout the 2022/23 season.

With his contract set to expire in the summer of 2024, his departure from Chelsea looks imminent. The Blues had spent a fortune on transfer over the past two transfer windows and currently, they are focused on reducing the size of their squad and their wage bill.

They have already offloaded quite a few players, and Pulisic seems to be the next name on the list. The 24-year-old forward has already agreed a deal in principle with the Serie A club. While small details are yet to be sorted, the player is keen on making the move.

He currently earns an astronomical sum at Chelsea and is all set to take a massive pay cut to make the move possible. While Pulisic has agreed to the move, AC Milan are yet to strike a deal with the club.

The Serie A giants are ready to pay €15-18 million for the 24-year-old, but the Blues want €25 million. Both the clubs are in talks, they will try to agree on a fee as possible with the pre-season around the corner.
