Inter Milan are ready to submit a loan offer with a €30 million buy obligation for the services of Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku.
According to Sky Sport, Inter Milan are keen on bringing back Romelu Lukaku to the club. The 30-year-old striker’s future has been up in the air for a while now but it seems he might end up returning to Italy for next season.
Lukaku joined Inter for the first time back in the summer of 2019 from Manchester United. After struggling at United, he made the move to Italy in order to revive his career. The 30-year-old did much more than just revive his career. He established himself as one of the best strikers in Europe over the two seasons he was with them.
His impressive performances forced Chelsea to re-sign the Belgian international in a big-money move. While he did enjoy a lot of success at Inter, his return to the Blues didn’t go according to plan. And, he was loaned back to the Italian club for the 2022-23 season.
With his loan move over, the Belgian forward has returned to Chelsea. But, there is no future for him at the London club. And, all parties involved have been trying to figure a way out. While there was a lot of interest from Saudi Arabia in the 30-year-old, he has rejected a big-money move and is keen on continuing in Europe.
The Belgian international had 21 goal contributions under Simone Inzaghi at Inter last season. And, Inzaghi is keen on having him back in their ranks. He wants Inter to re-sign the Chelsea forward.
With Inzaghi desperate to have him at his disposal, Inter are all set to propose another loan deal for the 30-year-old. This time they are ready to insert a €30 million buy obligation in the contract. However, they won’t be paying the €30 million at one go, it will be paid over a period of time.
New talks between both clubs will be held in the coming days. And, Inter are all set to propose this loan deal with a buy obligation for the services of Lukaku. With a decent fee involved, Chelsea could sell the 30-year-old.
