Chelsea ready to compromise in Mason Mount talks

Mason Mount has been linked with Manchester United this summer, but the Red Devils have not been able to agree on a deal for the Chelsea playmaker.

According to a report from The Guardian, Manchester United had their third bid of around £55 million rejected for Mason Mount recently. And Chelsea have been holding out for a fee of around £65 million.

Mason Mount is in the final year of his contract, and he could leave the club as a free agent next year. The Blues are under pressure to sell him in the summer, and it appears that Chelsea have finally softened their stance and are ready to reach a compromise.

The two clubs are set for talks once again, and it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils can come to an agreement soon. Manchester United recently gave Chelsea a take-it-or-leave-it warning in a recent communication.

Manchester United need to add more quality and depth in the middle of the park and Mount would be a quality acquisition. The 24-year-old is well-settled in the Premier League and he could make an immediate impact at Old Trafford. And Manchester United might be closing in on signing the Chelsea playmaker.

Manchester United will be hoping to compete at the highest level next season, and they will look to push crosstown rivals Manchester City for the league title. They need a better squad to compete with Manchester City. And players like Mount will certainly improve them.

The Chelsea midfielder has proven himself in the Premier League over the years, and he will be desperate to hit the ground running. The England international had a disappointing campaign by his standards last term, and he will be hoping to bounce back strongly.

Mount is versatile enough to operate as a central midfielder, an attacking midfielder as well as a winger. His versatility will be an added bonus for Manchester United and Erik ten Hag. The Manchester United manager has a proven track record of nurturing talented young players into established stars.

So he could help the Chelsea midfielder develop further and fulfil his potential. He will add creativity, technical ability, and goals to the Manchester United midfield next season. He could be the ideal long-term replacement for Christian Eriksen.
