Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund have reportedly contacted Real Madrid over a possible move for Sergio Arribas this summer.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Sergio Arribas is the subject of interest from Borussia Dortmund. The Bundesliga giants have contacted Real Madrid to discuss a possible move for the summer transfer window. And the 21-year-old midfield prospect will discuss his future with Los Blancos in the coming days.

Sergio Arribas is one of the most promising young prospects in his homeland. The Spaniard has been with Real Madrid for over a decade since arriving from CD Leganes in July 2012. Since then, he has gone from strength to strength in La Fabrica while becoming a pivotal figure for Real Madrid Castilla.

The 21-year-old has been a prolific customer in the final third, which was true this past season. And Arribas amassed 21 goals and seven assists in 40 appearances across all competitions. But the youngster faces an uncertain future at Real Madrid, as he has outgrown the Castilla side and is ready to compete in the top tier.

Opportunities with the Real Madrid first team will come few and far between for the Spanish midfield prospect. So leaving Los Blancos in the summer transfer window will be the most ideal decision for him. And Borussia Dortmund will look to snap up the young midfielder in the summer transfer window.

Arribas has the quality and potential to replace Bellingham in the long run. But the 21-year-old will first sit down with the decision-makers at Real Madrid to discuss what the future has in store at the Spanish club. And it will be interesting to see if he moves to Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window.
