Rafa Marin is reportedly considering leaving Real Madrid in the summer transfer window amid emerging interest from foreign clubs.

According to a report by Spanish outlet AS, Rafa Marin is contemplating leaving Real Madrid in the summer transfer window. The 21-year-old prospect feels he has reached his ceiling at the Spanish club. And he feels he is ready for a new adventure amid interest from clubs in England, Germany, and Belgium.

Rafa Marin started his youth career at Alcolea CF before spending a year at Centro Historico. And after a short stint in Sevilla’s youth division, he joined the Real Madrid Academy in July 2016. Since then, Spaniard went from strength to strength while in La Fabrica becoming a regular for Real Madrid Castilla in the last two years.

The 21-year-old defensive prospect has turned out 68 times thus far for Real Madrid Castilla while chipping in with three goals and four assists. But Marin is yet to make his first-team debut, with future opportunities looking bleak. Meanwhile, the youngster will enter the final year of his Real Madrid contract.

Such a situation has captured the attention of several clubs across Europe. Recent reports have heavily linked him with RB Leipzig. In addition, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have also shown interest in the Spanish defender. Meanwhile, the report by AS adds that Belgian outfits are also pursuing him apart from those in Germany and England.

Reports earlier this year suggested Marin was prioritising staying at Real Madrid. And he was ready to commit his future to Los Blancos by signing a new contract. But things have drastically changed in the last few months, and he now wants to call it quits at the Spanish club in the summer transfer window.

The report suggests Marin feels he has reached his ceiling at Real Madrid. And with first-team opportunities likely to elude him, a summer departure is on the cards. But the Spanish publication has not revealed the identities of the German, English, and Belgian clubs pursuing the 21-year-old.
